You can reach the institute both from Ganeshguri taking the road to Hengrabari (then on the VIP road) and also from the Six Mile crossing towards Narengi on the main nicely built VIP road. In both cases you have to take the VIP road and go opposite the Doordarshan quarters. Adjoining to the road to the institute is the Assam State Tennis Complex which hosted the Tennis competitions of the National Games 2007.About 15 bighas have been utilized for the ultra-modern institute building, boys and girls hostel and the staff quarters with appropriate landscape.
